Jimin Lee’s The Bag - Women, Men and Others was printed at Magnolia Editions in Oakland, CA. The abstract images for the background were done with soft-ground and hard-ground etching. The bag and the mirror and Women, Men and Others image were transferred with a photo-etching process on the second and the third of pre-sensitized copper plates. A sugar lift and drypoint were used to create the background on the third plate. All images were etched several times with aquatint in dutch-mordant. The magazine image was made from a photo-process and printed separately on a Korean rice paper for Chine Colle. Glitter was applied by hand to the letters area.
