Bob Nugent’s “Barboletta” is an etching on handmade paper, affixed to rag paper via “chine colle.” It was printed at Magnolia Editions in Oakland, CA on an American French Tool etching press and a flatbed transfer press. The first stage of this image was created on Japanese paper using a lithography press. The artist then hand-painted each print, which was subsequently printed in the “chine colle” style with a drypointed copperplate onto Rives BFK paper.
