Self Portrait was pulled at Magnolia Editions in Oakland, CA on a Griffin etching press. The artist incised a copper etching plate with a scribe and electric engraver. The plate was hand wiped and each print was pulled individually, one at a time. The image of State I includes the face and shoulders of the artist with part of the tie drawn in. State II finishes the torso, adding the arms, hands and completing the tie. A mirror is faintly etched into the background.
