Magnolia Editions is a fine art print studio in Oakland, California. We provide artists with technical expertise and access to an old-world handmade papermaking facility, etching presses, a powerful automated cutting machine, and large pigment-based electronic printing processes. For over two decades we have worked closely with artists to produce and publish print multiples, unique artist's prints, works on paper and textiles, utilizing both traditional printing methods and the most advanced digital printing and Jacquard weaving techniques.

We have also collaborated extensively with artists on developing large-scale, public commissions. Working with the San Francisco Art Commission, Magnolia was actively involved in realizing works commissioned for the new San Francisco International Airport. Other public commissions in which Magnolia has played an active role include works for the San Francisco Superior Court Building, the Laguna Honda Hospital in San Francisco, the Homart Corporation in Glendale, California, the Cathedral of our Lady of Los Angeles and the San Jose Museum of Art.

Our current projects include: an ongoing series of tapestry portraits created by Chuck Close, translated from daguerreotype and polaroid images; tapestry editions by Deborah Oropallo, based on images from her series of hybrid portraits entitled Guise; a portfolio of inkjet prints by Hung Liu, housed in a custom cloth-covered box with slipcase and featuring a new book on her latest work; a portfolio of inkjet prints by Doug Hall, juxtaposing portraits of individuals and locations from around the globe; and The 20 Year Drypoint Project, a series of mixed media pieces created on a drypoint pulled off the 38 x 84 inch cutting board used at Magnolia over the last 20 years. So far, artists participating include William Wiley, Ed Moses, Squeak Carnwath, Robert Hudson, David Best, William Allen, Hung Liu, Andrea Way, Rupert Garcia, George Miyasaki, Kim Anno. Other ongoing projects include a suite of ink-jet prints by Guy Diehl and Ralph Goings, mixed-media collagraphs from George Miyasaki, and limited edition archival Fine Art Buttons by William Wiley. As part of the Magnolia Tapestry Project, we are currently working on tapestries with Ed Moses, Eric Fischl, April Gornik, Doug Hall, Deborah Oropallo, Squeak Carnwath, Chuck Close, Guy Diehl, Donald and Era Farnsworth, Gus Heinze, Hung Liu and William Wiley.
